Singing Sock Bird

Singing Sock Birds

Recycled Material: 1. Old sock, 2. Cardboard - Other Material: Cotton - Tools: 1. Scissors, 2. Glue, 3. Marker. 4- Thread

1. Draw with the marker the outline of a beak and eyes as shown.

2. Fill the eyes and beak with color as shown.

3. Cut out the beak and the eyes.


4. Fold the beak along both lines that you drew before (see step 1) in order to form an open singing mouth. The black part is pointed towards the outside.



5. Fill about two thirds of the sock with cotton.




6. Wind thread around the "neck" of the bord to shape the head and make anode. Do the same lower at the point where the cotton filling stops to create a tail. Finally the head and stomach are filled with cotton whereas the tail (open end of the sock) remains empty.




7. Now stick the beak and the eyes to the head.
